A BILL to amend and reenact section nine, article two, chapter
twenty-one-a of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuing the
authority of the commissioner of the bureau of employment
programs to administer unemployment compensation.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section nine, article two, chapter twenty-one-a of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. THE COMMISSIONER OF THE BUREAU OF EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS.
21A-2-9. Continuation of authority of commissioner to administer
unemployment compensation.
Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of
this code, the commissioner shall continue to administer this
chapter until the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred
ninety-sixtwo thousand two, to allow for the completion of a preliminary performance review by the joint committee on government
operations.
